I love the morning fog
The temperature is cool
It feels like I’m covered in water
With no chance of drowning
I can’t see anything else around me
But I feel safe, relaxed, and free
As if the world around me never existed
This is how you made me feel
Lotus Flowers
Lotus flowers are one of my favorite flowers
They are a symbol of resilience, growth, and strength
I’m drawn to its purity
Even when you have lost your way
Just like this flower
I know your intentions are true
It’s one of the things I love most about you
With all that was said,
With all that lingering grief,
Dare I say, with all that is dead,
This power, from root to leaf.
I can hardly stand the taste,
My words blister on my tongue.
So many bid their hearts to waste,
When the moment came, it stung.
But I chose to hear the sound—
The sound of one more song,
A song that called me homeward bound,
Where nothing felt so wrong.
Lifted high among the clouds,
I raised my head and cried.
The silence after was so loud,
A pelican flew by my side.
By then, all was said and done,
No more running, nothing more.
No burdens left, no heavy chores,
The tree stands free as we finally soar.
And with all that said, she called for tea,
I set my course upon the sea,
Arms as sails, the wind set free—
At last, at peace with energy.
